摘要
This paper describes how eigen-value and eigen-vector methods can be used to determine the effects of placing power system stabilizers on different machines in a multi-machine generating plant. The plant has six generating units, the sizes and electrical characteristics of which differ from each other. This mixture of units gives rise to a number of distinct oscillatory modes in the plant which can be effectively damped using delta-omega-based power system stabilizers acting on specifically selected units in the plant. The basic principles of the methods used and the results of simulation studies are presented.
