ON THE ISOLATED LOOP TAPE TRANSPORT MECHANISM OF TAPE DECK.

The isolated loop tape transport mechanism, comprising of the means of pressing tape by two pinchrollers from both sides of one capstan, is very effective to reduce undesired vibration. (ex. the fluctuation of tape tension, the fluctuation of reel motors' torque etc. ). The analysis of the isolated loop tape transport mechanism and the tape tension mechanism of the inner loop are described. The air tape tension arm reduces the fluctuation of the outside loop tension and is also described.
