摘要
The Electronics Industries Association Broadcast Television System Committee's recommended multichannel television sound (MTS) has emerged as a standard for television stereo broadcasting. A digital MTS system is described that consists of five major blocks: 1) an analog antialiasing filter located at the output of the aural FM detector; 2) a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter to digitize the filtered FM detector output; 3) a channel demultiplexer to separate the composite MTS signal format into left and right channels, and into the second audio program signal, if required; 4) an audio processing block to allow user modification of such parameters as volume, tone, balance, and frequency response; and 5) a 16-bit digital-to-analog converter to convert the processed stereo signal back into an analog format for amplification. A description of each of these blocks is given.
