摘要
The purpose of this article is to summarize what is known about ozone disinfection mechanisms. The importance of oxidant species formed by ozone decomposition and ozone reactions with the different compounds originating from microorganisms are discussed. The main factors affecting disinfection such as disinfectant concentration, contact time, pH, temperature, organic matter and microorganism physiology are presented. Finally the evolution of disinfection technology is addressed: optimized oxidation by ozone with hydrogen peroxide or ultra violet light, new plug flow disinfection contactor and new disinfection monitoring based on sophisticated detectors.
