摘要
Microcomputer-based controls, already popular in gasoline-powered passenger cars, are being developed for heavy truck diesel engines. At present, progress is impeded by deficiencies in sensor technology. While many sensors needed for truck applications are similar to their automobile counterparts, environmental and durability requirements are more severe; further, on-board detectors for parameters like oxides of nitrogen and smoke in the exhaust are not available.
