摘要
The results are presented of experimental examination of the plasma process of producing finely dispersed powders of magnesium oxide with the required physico-chemical properties (chemical and grain size composition, specific surface, bulk density, activity of the magnesium oxide powder expresed by its citric number. A method is described of plasma treatment of dispersed solutions of magnesium nitrate yielding the product with a specific composition. To produce the finely dispersed magnesium oxide with the required chemical composition, a particle size of 3-7 m, a specific surface of 42-45 m2/g, a bulk density of 0.3-0.4 g/cm3, and a limonic number of 70-90 s from a magnesium nitrate solution with 150 g MgO/1, the energy required is 25-30 kW.h/kg of Mgo at a holding time of particles in the reaction zone of the reactor of 0.3 s. When using the alloy of the hexahydrate of magnesium nitrate, the energy losses decrease to 10-12 kW.h/kg MgO.
