摘要
Based on an analysis of aerodynamic phenomena which accompany the grinding process, a combined coolant supply method is reviewed: simultaneous supply of coolant into the cutting zone and on the side faces of the grinding wheel. It is shown that a combined method is most effective in grinding end surfaces (rims, flanges, roller bearing race steps, etc. ), in the simultaneous grinding of flat and cylindrical surfaces and in form grinding. It is noted that an additional coolant supply on the wheel sides results in a significant grinding productivity increase.
