A new range of naturally flame retardant decorative fabrics is being launched on the furnishings and decor market by the leading French speciality fibre manufactuers Societe Rhovyl - part of the multinational Rhone-Poulenc chemicals and fibres group. The new fabrics, which have the trade-name Clevyl, are described as ″revolutionary″ by the makers. The chemical basis of Clevyl fabrics is Rhovyl's PVC chlorofibre, from which the fabrics are woven.
