摘要
This paper shows that simple and inexpensive techniques to reduce solidification cracking tendency in submerged arc welds in HY100 steel such as cold wire addition, groove angle change, and wire electrode oscillation, can be successfully applied. The results obtained are discussed with respect to solidification theories and possible explanations are presented.
