摘要
This paper presents a systematic approach to the economical design of squirrel cage induction motors. The design variables which are most sensitive to the cost of active materials and performance have been judiciously chosen. An incremental search method is used to obtain an economical design, and the results are compared with those of normal design. In this method, an ordered search is conducted within a preselected range of variables from a given starting point and chosen step size. A digital computer program, based on this method, has been developed to obtain an economical design.
