Explicit block iterative method for the solution of the biharmonic equation

摘要：
We develop an iterative algorithm for the solution of a finite difference approximation of the biharmonic equation over a rectangular region by using the explicit block iterative method, i.e., box over relaxation scheme. The 4- and 9-point explicit blocks were considered and performance results for the two algorithms are presented.
