摘要
Diagnosis of industrial equipment is often performed with the use of methods of applied nuclear physics. Radioisotopes are utilized in this case. Surface activation and thin layer activation technique is used. The technique can be applied for investigating the wear of ceramic bearings of submerged pumps. Study of the technique has been performed. Results of the study have shown that violation of structure of inspected material is absent. Irradiation of the material should be minimized. Service properties of the inspected material are not varied. Monitoring of very low rates of wear is provided. Results of the monitoring have been presented.
