摘要
Raw lignite, in addition to being useful as fuel, is of outstanding economic importance by providing a cheap absorbent for flue gas desulfurization. Owing to its mainly alkaline properties, the lignite fly ash is basically suitable as an absorbent for flue gas desulfurization. Determination of the necessary absorption requirements presupposes the knowledge of the absorption capacity of the ash and its actual deposition quantities. The relation between the two quantities gives indication about the attainable separation effect of a wet process for flue gas desulfurization.
