摘要
A self-consistent theoretically based pipeline design procedure is presented for low Reynolds number turbulent flow of pseudohomogeneous non-Newtonian slurries. The design equations are based upon a modified mixing-length theory coupled with a rheological model to account for non-Newtonian effects. The particular viscometric relation used is the generalized Bingham or yield-power law model. The integration of this design technique into a complete slurry pipeline design method is discussed. Suggestions are also given for its adaptation to other geometries than circular pipes.
