ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD IN THE BODY OF A CONDUCTING CYLINDER SURROUNDED BY A LOOP WITH AN EXCITATION CURRENT OF VARIOUS WAVEFORMS.

The transient electromagnetic field at the surface of and inside a solid conducting cylinder is analyzed which a current flowing in a loop around this cylinder and varying in time jumpwise, exponentially, or as a pulse of finite duration process. The results of a computer-aided solution of the problem are presented as families of transient curves, in a form useful for the design of the means of nondestructive inspection.
