摘要
In 1997, Gulf States Paper, Demopolis, Alabama, agreed to implement an advanced control solution to reduce energy consumption and improve quality in the No.3 lime kiln. The success criteria for the project included: reduce energy usage by 4%; improve residual carbonate control; and stabilize kiln operation. The Gulf States lime kiln control architecture communicates through Honeywell DCS through an open systems interface called the real time application environment.
