The installment described considers possible improvements in efficiency by replacing equipment and by altering the basic system design. Such changes are classified as retrofitting and generally include everything from installing different types and sizes of heating and cooling units to changes in control systems. The paper lists some of the more acceptable heating and cooling distribution systems found in today's structures. Comments are made as to the upgrading potential of each.
