摘要
The X-ray elastic constants of high manganese austenitic cast steel were determined, with results summarized as follows. If materials have no residual texture from uniaxial plastic deformation, the value of the X-ray elastic constant K//X (K//X equals minus 366 MPa/deg) of austenitic steel adopted in the standard method of X-ray stress measurement is considered suitable for the high manganese austenitic steel which has been subjected to various plastic working treatments. For the X-ray stress measurement of the coarse grained high manganese austenitic steel subjected to heavy plastic deformation, the error in stress measurements DELTA sigma is 20 approximately 50 MPa, if the limit of confidence is set at 95%.
