摘要
A numerical study was made of the laws of thermohydrodynamic processes when single laser pulses affect metals. Melt splashes were studied in details as for their instability mechanism due to the development of small-scale irregular surface structures. The conditions of melt convection origin in a surface layer during formation of a light-induced surface profile were determined. The mathematical model of heat and mass transfer in a surface melt layer is proposed. The model descriptions of melting, melt flow, laser radiation diffraction and energy dissipation is included.
