An overview of the development plans and the long term profits for the zinc mines, Tara mines of Ireland is presented. The acquisition of the Bula orebody would enable the mine to increase its production to 250,000 tonnes of zinc in concentrates by 2004. Tara have total reserves estimated at 12.1Mt grading 9.2% zinc and 2.2% lead.
