摘要
A critical review of the existing designs is given. Lines of research on the development of a transport solenoid in the USSR are discussed. It is proposed to select, for the time being, a coil 1 m long and 0. 3 m wide with the magnetizing force of up to 0. 3 MA as the laboratory model of the solenoid.
