摘要：

EPA fugitive emission regulations of 500-ppmv apply equally to bolted pipe flanges as well as pumps and valves. Procedures for controlling flange emissions involve gasket selection, surface finishes, and bolt loads. The results of various combinations of the three factors are discussed and steps to follow in limiting emissions from the flanged connections are discussed.
