摘要
The aim of this paper is to review post weld improvement techniques for fatigue resistance of welded joints. Different techniques are used to delay the initiation of cracks at the weld toe. These techniques are improvement of welding procedure and the use of special electrodes; TIG dressing or plasma dressing of the weld toe; grinding at the weld toe; and hammer peening and shot peening.
