Microstructure, properties and fracture characteristics of SiC/Al-Li composite

摘要
In this paper the tensile tests at different temperatures and the TEM analyses of SiC/Al-Li composite fabricated with powder metallurgy technique were carried out. The results indicate that the composite exhibits high strength of room temperature and low elongation-to-failure. The precipitate free zones (PFZs) were formed on the grain boundaries and interfaces between SiC particles and interfaces. The composite displays the fracture feature of dimple and intergranular fracture.
