摘要
A major advantage of using intensified pressure is that the size of output actuators can be greatly reduced. This advantage is an important consideration in portable tools, such as cable cutters and crimping tools; it also permits reductions in the size of clamp cylinders on machine setups. The basic operating principle of typical cylinder-type intensifiers is the multiplication of driving pressure acting on the larger of two areas of a double area cylinder. The three basic types of intensifiers are described: one-shot, reciprocating (both air-on-oil or oil-on-oil) and reciprocating double acting, which is an oil-on-oil type.
