摘要
Proposed is the method of 'band differentiation' for discovering long-period fluctuations of sea level of the tsunami type against the background of tide and surge fluctuations of sea level. Possible characteristics of the fluctuations in sea level are evaluated at the filter output which implements this method. The efficiency of the method is verified on a tide gage with an actual tsunami at Ust-Kamchatsk (15-16 December 1971). A conclusion is formed about the prospects of the proposed method.
