摘要
Concurrent cyclones have a low hydraulic resistance; with respect to their purification efficiency they are inferior to countercurrent and vortex cyclones. A new design of a concurrent cyclone with intermediate dust sampling (CCIS) is shown. The main features of the new cyclone are as follows. Twisting of the stream is achieved by an axial deflector with cylindrical blades. Opposite the intermediate sampling windows for the dust the stream displacer narrows; this reduces the stream velocity and also reduces the secondary entrainment of the separated dust from the intermediate sampling bunker. An axial aligning device is located at the inlet to the discharge tube. The dust from the intermediate sampling bunker is collected in separate bunkers. The presented data show that the collecting efficiency of the CCIS cyclone is not inferior to that in cyclones with a lower discharge chamber and CTS. It must also be pointed out that at the same flow rate of the dust-loaded gas the dimensions of the CCIS are significantly smaller. However, when the diameter of the LDC and CTS cyclones is increased, the separation efficiency of the compared cyclones decreases approximately by the same degree.
