The Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR) Program and, in general, the improvements often associated with RRR projects on safety are discussed. Studies that analyze traffic accident data are presented. The safety implications of resurfacing, skid resistance, lane and shoulder width delineation, and the removal of roadside and fixed objects are discussed.
