摘要
Hydroxyapatite ceramic materials with controlled porosity were developed from dibasic calcium phosphate in combination with CaCO3. The degree of porosity in the final materials was obtained by the controlled release of carbon dioxide as a product of the decomposition of CaCO3 during heat treatment. The materials were tested for biocompatibility and preliminary results suggested different cell response at the surface of hydroxyapatite materials depending on their porosity.
