The study described concerns the automatic design calculation of skew bridges of one to five spans, between parallel banks, with not necessarily parallel bearings (trapezoidal spans). The method of finite elements is adopted. Metal girder bridge decks covered with bituminous mix are equated with orthotropic slabs. The computing program, available in three versions (girders covered with bituminous mix, reinforced concrete, and prestresssed concrete) has been tested.
