摘要
Plans to restart pulp operations at the Porsea mill of PT Inti Indorayon Utama TBk in northern Sumatra are underway following a favorable decision from the Indonesian government. The mill was forced to cease operations in view of public protest concerning the mill's compliance with environmental regulations. While the government allowed the company to temporarily resume pulp operations, it banned them from making rayon which was said to have a greater environmental impact. The company is set to relaunch production and is expected to be at full capacity within three months.
