摘要
Machining with single point, single-crystal diamond tools to achieve surface finishes below two microinches (AA) and with profile deviations from true contour of less than five microinches per inch of diameter, is described. Critical aspects covered are precise machine movements, elimination of vibration, dynamic balancing and temperature control.
