摘要
A thermogravimetric analyzer is used to study the NO-activated carbon reaction at high temperatures and moderate NO concentrations. The reaction rate and time at 10% carbon conversion are obtained and used to determine the kinetic parameters. The usual experimental time needed for obtaining kinetic data is significantly reduced by this method. The use of 10% carbon-conversion time as a characteristic time also gives better accuracy of the kinetic parameters extracted. The experimental results confirm that the NO-BPL activated carbon reaction is first order in the temperature range 700 to 900°C. It is also observed that the reaction rate increase with the consumption of carbon, reaches a maximum and then decreases.
