摘要
The proceedings contain seven case studies dealing with towns where overall policies are being pursued to limit motor traffic and improve the environment: Uppsala, Bologna, Singapore, Nagoxa, Munich, Besancon, Nottingham. Also contained are summaries of the seven specialized sessions dealing with: parking; traffic limitation, cyclists and pedestrians; priorities for public transport; paratransit; planning, financing and implementing policies for urban transport; economic and energy implications of these policies. The aim of the conference was to evaluate the possibilities and effects of policies for limiting motor traffic in urban areas.
