A three-digit panel meter with free-floating front end and a grounded parallel binary-coded-decimal output employs a charge-switching analog-to-digital conversion technique to keep manufacturing costs low and reliability hign, standard high-density TTL devices minimize the number of components, and hence manufacturing costs.
