Epiretinal membranes rarely cause a severe reduction in visual acuity. To demonstrate this condition, the case of a 69-year old white male presented with a chief complaint of decreased acuity in the right eye is considered. Through this case, the stages of epiretinal membranes, possible etiologies, and surgical management are detailed.
