摘要
A study was made of the change in the width of the 5d vacant states of lanthanides in solid solutions based on monosulfides and oxides. The experimental results agree with the absence of a shared energy band of the components, confirming the individual nature of the d wave functions. Solid solutions with a considerable exchange interaction between magnetic cations have other features in the variation of the width of the 5d band. The absence of a shared d energy band is attributed to the masking effect of the segregation of magnetic ions.
