摘要
Properties of hydrostatically extruded aluminum and copper alloys were studied in relation to temperature rise and metal flow. In aluminum alloys, a product without cracks and peripheral coarse grain can be extruded at a higher extrusion speed. In hot copper alloys, a dead metal zone, blisters and entrapment of oxide scale were not observed. Mechanical properties are the same as those achieved by conventional hot extrusion.
