摘要
The basic principles for identification of the intermediate and end products of electrochemical reactions from kinetic information obtained by the rotating disc-ring electrode method are examined. The most significant information about the nature of the studied products could be obtained by studying the dependence of the yield of the appropriate product at the ring on the rotation rate of the electrode, the disc potential, the concentration of the original reagent in solution, the temperature and the pH of the solution. This approach was used for the identification of the reduction products of nitroferrocene in alkaline media. It is shown that in the course of cathodic reduction of this compound anion radicals of nitroferrocene, unstable ferrocenylhydroxylamine and aminoferrocene were formed.
