摘要
Today there is a growing number of manufacturers who produce load management systems that can help a building owner operate his facility efficiently, whether small or large. Many load management systems on the market range from simple demand controllers purchased off the shelf to large computerized automation systems. The latter can control high-rise buildings, multiple building plants and other CII (Commercial-Industrial-Institutional) facilities (even facilities scattered over several states). The number of energy dollars that can be saved depends on the particular application and is affected by mechanical system design, building operation and utility rate structures. Load management systems can be separated into the following components; centralized control; demand control; load scheduling; adaptive control; utility monitoring and reporting; maintenance managment programs. Each of these approaches is described and discussed.
