摘要
A theoretical expression for the increase of the spreading rate of momentum jets due to opposing surface gravity waves has been derived from the depth averaged Eulerian-momentum equations. The increase in the rate of spreading, within the zone of established flow, is expressed by the ratio of the wave momentum action.
