摘要
An experimental investigation of the flow of a polymerizing liquid in a tubular reactor was carried out. A case of the isothermal hydrolytic polymerization of omega -dodecalactam in a pilot reactor was studied. The viscosity of the liquid in the course of the reaction increased 200-400 times. The increase in viscosity of the process of polymerization results in the transformation of the velocity profile; a significant extending of the profiles in the axial zone of the reactor is observed. Such an effect was first detected experimentally in this investigation. It has been shown that the acceleration of the liquid flow in the axial zone of the reactor should be taken into account in calculating and designing commercial conversion depth are in good agreement with the calculations made.
