摘要
Iron whisker crystals 10-100 mu thick, prepared by reduction from the chloride, always contain dislocation densities of the order of 10**5 cm** minus **2. Randomly distributed dislocations generate an inhomogeneous field of internal stresses which causes a gradient of boundary energy, as a result of which the main walls will be bent and displaced from the equilibrium position in a perfect crystal.
