摘要
This paper describes a speed reducer which has been developed to provide industry with a reliable, efficient means of reducing speed without the use of conventional involute gears. Twin discs with cycloidal shaped teeth are arranged in a planetary system with only rolling action which minimizes friction losses through the reducer. This feature, along with a shear proof tooth profile, provides for high efficiencies at high ratios with no tooth breakage, therefore minimizing maintenance costs and downtime.
