Sintered Electrode in a Fluorescent Lamp.

It has been established, as a result of experimental studies conducted that during the starting period in sintered electrode lamps there occur the processes typical of instant start lamps in general. Cathode spot temperature, anode-cathode potential drop, discharge current density in the cathode spot were measured under operating conditions. Comparative measurements of the barium and argon line intensities were also made, serving as the basis for evaluation of the emissive substance consumption rate. Conclusions are made on a need for further research.
