摘要
Experience with the operation of ships' internal combustion engines (ICE) shows insufficient resistance to cavitational erosion of the surfaces of cylinder linings and blocks subjected to microimpact effects of the cooling liquid. Wear of parts by cavitational erosion is most intense at places where slit erosion develops. To evaluate the expediency of using gas-theraml coatings for building up worn parts and hardening new parts of ICE, the authors carried out comparative tests of nine variants of plasma-sprayed coatings on a magnetostriction vibrator. For comparison of the erosion resistance of materials, temper hardened steel 38KhMYuA without a coating was used as a reference.
