摘要
North Star Steel was able to meet the electric power factor and harmonics requirements of its new ladle furnace by using a computer software to conduct an analysis of the plant's electrical wiring system. The software was employed in developing simulation models that enabled engineers to perform power and harmonics measurements and determine the additional equipment needed to accommodate the installation of the new furnace.
