Norske Skog's proposed takeover of Fletcher Challenge Paper (FCP) has received enthusiastic approval from FCP shareholders, wherein the FCP shareholders gave a 99% support to the sale. The Norwegian Norske Skog offered NOK 21 billion for the New Zealand-based group. The move will make Norske Skog the second world's top newsprint producers.
