摘要
The problem of forecasting the value of the maximum nominal stress that a sheet metal laminate can withstand when subjected to biaxial tensile loads is studied. Theoretical equations are derived. It is shown that, with acceptable accuracy, the theoretical analysis suggests an empirical predicting method that comprises a linear equation and a graph depicting the variation of two functions whose values depend on the particular stress-system applied to the laminate and the nature of the component metals.
