摘要
In gas-fired heat-treating furnaces improvements in burner operation by proper adjustment and control of the input of gaseous fuel and recuperative preheating of air and gas yield considerable energy savings. Better insulation of the furnace walls, control of heat storage losses in furnaces subject to frequent and considerable changes in operating temperatures, well designed stock handling equipment that remains in the furnace and thus loses no heat, and control of the on-time of pilot flames are further important measures to save energy.
